Zoom & Save for Instagram

Privacy Policy – Zoom & Save for Instagram

Effective date: 16 October 2026

Zoom & Save for Instagram is a browser extension that lets you open Instagram photos and videos in a larger view and restores the browser’s standard image menu (Save image as, Copy image, Open image in new tab) on instagram.com.

Data collection

The extension does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal or non-personal data. It has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no user accounts.

What the extension does on your device

• It runs only on pages of www.instagram.com.
• It reads the page structure locally in your browser to place the magnifier, open posts in Instagram’s own larger view and make images right-clickable.
• It does not save anything to storage and does not send network requests of its own. All of its code is included in the extension package.
• Images you save or copy are handled entirely by your browser’s own menu and go only where you choose.

Third parties

The extension shares no data with anyone. The optional “support the project” link opens Ko-fi, which has its own privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
